The Opportunity

Davis Chevrolet GMC Buick in Airdrie is currently seeking Automotive Service Technicians to join their growing Service team! This full-time, Mon-Fri position with rotating Saturdays, offers a wage of $36-$38/flat rate hour, full company benefits and a bonus structure. In this role, you will:

  • Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment.
  • Perform pre-delivery/optimum/AMVIC inspections on new & used vehicles
  • Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations

 

The Ideal Candidate

You possess a Journeyman Automotive Service Technician ticket and have at least 5 years’ experience in the field (preferably experience with GM models). You have the ability to effectively manage your time and work flow and are detail-oriented and precise in the work that you do perform. You have the ability to learn new technology and repair/service procedures and specifications and enjoy furthering your knowledge. You have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.

The Opportunity

Davis GMC Buick in Medicine Hat is looking for a 3rd or 4th year Automotive Service Apprentice to join their team! This is a full-time, permanent position where you will work Monday-Friday and the occasional Saturday (rotating shifts) in our busy shop.   • Test to check whether systems and components are secure and are working properly.
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension and electrical systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
  • Review work orders and clearly communicate these with Supervisors and Service Consultants

 

The Ideal Candidate

You have a positive attitude, are outgoing and energetic, and are able to effectively manage your time and work flow. You have a great work ethic and don’t mind putting in extra time when it’s necessary. Must be at least a 3rd year Apprentice and have a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.

The Opportunity:

C.E.M. Heavy Equipment in Nisku, AB is looking for an experienced and reliable Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician to add to their team.  In this role, you will be on the shop floor, working on diagnostic and preventative maintenance to satisfy our customers’ needs. The successful candidate will be offered a Journeyman wage of $38.00/hour with full company benefits and RRSP package. Work schedule is Monday through Friday and some overtime is also required. Specifically, you will:

  • Check all heavy equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose any faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair that is required
  • Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
  • Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
  • Repair cable-operated working attachments, winches, compressors, pumps, electric generators, etc.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques

The ideal candidate:

You must possess a Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician Certificate and a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract. You are experienced in shop work and running a field service truck. Mechanical experience in heavy construction equipment such as dozers, excavators, packers and loaders and some experience working on road trucks and trailers are required. C.E.M. Heavy Equipment is the Hyundai Heavy Equipment dealer and Cat, Deere and Hyundai loader and excavator experience would be valuable assets. Previous supervisory experience would also be beneficial.
